The youRegion-School
The youRegion-School offers you a weeklong unique opportunity to discover the EMR in a whole new way! Work together with international students from all over the Euregio in a Team. Guided by euregional practitioners and experts, you will experience first-hand the political and social background and connections of the EMR. Visit euregional state of the art research facilities with us and learn more about the innovative cross-border collaborations in the region. Deepen your knowledge of future economic opportunities and challenges with concrete cases and examples. complemented by euregional networking opportunites, borrel and other surprises, the youRegion School offers a unique euregional experience.
About the project
Our enormous scientific, economic and cultural potential is one of the key factors in the structural transformation of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. The Interreg EMR V-A project youRegion aims to facilitate this process by establishing and promoting a euregional welcome culture – not only to attract new, highly skilled employees and their families, but to establish the EMR itself as a place to settle down.
With your expertise on the issues of well-being, innovation and cooperation in a cross-border context and you want to demonstrate your interdisciplinary skills in a practical setting in our Euregio Meuse-Rhine, the youRegion-School awaits you!
Your vision for youRegion
You are a student in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine? You are interested in European cooperation and integration? You want to work in an international setting and team on concrete challenges and cases?
Then apply now for the youRegion-School!
The interdisciplinary and hybrid youRegion-School will take place from 7-11 March 2022 with events spread all over the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. The event will be concluded by the youRegion Student Summit two weeks later.
HOW AND WHERE
The youRegion-School is planned as a hybrid format. During the week we will visit different Research and Innovation campuses and experience euregional cooperation first hand in Hasselt, Heerlen and Aachen as well as virtual sessions with euregional professionals and experts. The youRegion-School will be concluded with a festive closing event as a summit in the spirit of youRegion.
During the week you will work in an international Team to elaborate your vision about the EMR and youRegion under euregional guidance.
REQUIREMENTS
The program is aimed at Bachelor’s or Master’s-students studying in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine. The youRegion-School follows an interdisciplinary approach and intends to deepen the euregional knowledge and skills of the participants. English is required. Mobility in the EMR would be an asset. We expect that the Corona regulations then in force will be respected and complied with.
The program is free of charge for the participants.
